The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg is the Sixth Premier of Sarawak, appointed on January 13, 2017. Born in Limbang, Sarawak on August 4, 1950, he holds a Master of Business Management from Brunel University in the United Kingdom. With a distinguished political career, he has made significant contributions to Sarawak's development. Currently, he also holds the portfolios of Minister for Finance and New Economy, Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development, and Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability.

Abang Johari has been appointed Pro-Chancellor of the Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus and has received honorary doctorates from the University College of Technology Sarawak and Swinburne University of Melbourne.

Under his administration, the development of emission-free green technology, particularly Green Hydrogen, is a priority. Collaborations with renewable energy players worldwide have resulted in technology transfers and Fuel Cell Vehicle pilot projects. Additionally, he spearheads the pursuit of a Digital Economy, aiming to transform Sarawak into a developed, sustainable economy by 2030.
