Mr. Huang Aiguo is the director of the business department of hydropower and pumped storage at China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), executive director of Hubei Provincial Association for Disaster Prevention and deputy director of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Construction Committee of Hubei Society for Hydropower Engineering. He has been involved in the construction, operation and management of the Three Gorges Project for nearly 30 years and responsible for the operation and joint dispatching of cascade power stations of the Three Gorges, Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba and Gezhouba.

He is an expert in hydropower and pumped storage and has gained rich experience in planning, construction, supervision, reservoir dispatching, safety monitoring and scientific and technological innovation. In addition, he spearheaded multiple research studies on key technologies for large-scale caverns of the Three Gorges underground power station and scientific dispatching of the Three Gorges Reservoir. Mr. Huang has won a number of technological innovation awards in the hydropower sector at both the provincial and ministerial level.
