There will be security staff on the doors at the entrance to Espace Grande Arche who will be checking bags and ensuring all delegates are wearing their ID badge when returning onsite.
For identification and security reasons, identification badges should be worn by all participants at all times during the congress and at official functions. If you lose your badge please report the loss to the registration team immediately.

Your congress pass includes entry to the opening reception which takes place after the opening plenary on Tuesday 14 May. Join us for a drink and network with friends old and new whilst enjoying some musical entertainment.
Normal business attire is suitable for both the congress and the dinner, however you are welcome to wear traditional dress or cocktail dress for the evening events if you wish.
Lunch and coffee breaks
Your congress pass includes lunch and coffee breaks on Wednesday 15 May and Thursday 16 May. Catering will be served in Eiffel 2 on the lower ground floor alongside the showcase area. Additional seating is available in the VIP area for partners and sponsors, where refreshments will be served all day
Most of our recommended hotels are within walking distance to Espace Grande Arche, however for those staying in hotels further away your concierge will be able to advise of transport.
The nearest taxi rank to Espace Grande Arche for pick up and drop off is Place Carpeaux 92800 Puteaux. Further taxi information can be found online at http://www.taxis-paris.fr/taxi-la-defense.htm. If you are using a metered taxi and intend to pay with a non-French credit card, we recommend that you check with your driver whether they will accept your mode of payment before entering the vehicle.
There are also Uber cars in the area. Recommended pick up and drop off points are: Place Carpeaux 92800 Puteaux and the Pullman Hotel, which are easy to find for drivers.
Before you travel home each evening, view the latest travel information conveniently displayed on the screen in the registration area, by the entrance.
The venue is well served by public transport but please be aware that the journey may take longer when travelling at busy times during the morning and evening.

The working language of the event is English. Interpreters will interpret into French, Spanish and Chinese. Russian interpretation will be provided during the opening ceremony. You will need to collect your headset at the cloakroom in registration each day and return it before you leave each evening.
All personal property is the responsibility of the individual and brought to the congress at the owner’s risk. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any form of compensation for items that go missing, however the best place to ask if anything has been handed in is the information desk located near the entrance.

Photography and videography
You are welcome to take limited photographs at the venue, provided that you limit the number of photographs taken during sessions and do not cause disruption to other participants. Only Accredited Media are permitted to film in pre-approved locations.
The organisers have photographers/videographers on site who will be capturing content for publicity purposes, and a selection of photos will be made available to download at: flickr.com/photos/hydropower. Please let a member of IHA staff know if you would rather not be photographed.
