Speaker biography

Oliver Knight is a sustainable energy specialist with over 15 years of experience in international development and UK domestic policy issues.

In his current position at the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) within the World Bank he works on offshore wind, solar power (including floating solar and rooftop solar), renewable energy resource assessment, energy data and analytics.

As part of his work in ESMAP he led the development of the Global Solar Atlas and commissioned two major upgrades to the Global Wind Atlas. In addition to his global work portfolio, he also leads the Sindh Solar Energy Project and a number of related technical assistance projects in Pakistan.

Oliver has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
