Martin Fuchs is head of Pöyry´s Hydro-Consulting section which is Pöyry´s competence centre for hydro-informatics, hydrology and climate change.
Before he joined Pöyry in 2001, he worked as a research assistant at the University of Natural Resources in Vienna with a focus on climate change impact assessment and river basin modelling.
In his professional career, he has worked as a hydropower consultant and water resources specialist on a large number of engineering and consulting projects in Europe, Asia and Africa. He is also a member of the advisory panel for the Hydropower Climate Resilience Guidelines, jointly developed by the IHA, World Bank and EBRD.
Martin has a background in civil engineering and water management and holds a PhD in hydrology.
