Linn Emelie Schäffer has been with SINTEF Energy Research in Norway since August 2016. Her research interests are within power system modelling, hydro power scheduling and scenarios analysis. Her main research has been on the modelling of hydro-thermal power systems and assessing the development of the Norwegian and European power system.
Linn Emelie received her MSc within industrial economics and technology management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 2016, completing her master thesis in applied economics and industrial optimisation.
Since last year, Linn Emelie has been an Operating Agent for IEA Hydro Annex IX along with her colleague Atle Harby. Their work in IEA Hydro focuses on the role of hydropower as a producer of renewable energy and flexibility services in the future power system, supporting the grid and enabling large scale integration of variable renewable energy (VRE).
