Water Resources Specialist (Consultant),

Kimberly Lyon is a consultant on water resources management with the World Bank’s Water Global Practice. She works on hydropower, dam safety, and water security primarily in Eastern and Southern Africa.
Previously, in her role as bank staff, she coordinated the Hydropower and Dams Global Solutions Group, a global programme and technical community of practitioners working on projects relating to dams in the World Bank. She also led a number of World Bank applications of the Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol in Vietnam, Costa Rica, and the Zambezi River Basin.
Before joining the Bank, she worked on environmental services at the US branch of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the World Resources Institute. She holds a master’s degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
