Speaker biography

Frédéric Vigeant is the Air Quality Specialist at Hydro-Québec, having started working at the company in 2010. He started his career as an Environmental Advisor for the hydroelectric generation department, specialising in monitoring restricted flows and water levels that need to be respected in water management.

At of the end of 2017, Frédéric began coordinating Hydro-Québec’s action plan on adapting to climate change. The plan is aimed at mitigating the risk of climate change while also taking advantage of potential business opportunities. Among his tasks, he advises project teams in climate change throughout the planning, construction, and operation of generation facilities.

Frédéric has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from McGill University as well as a master’s degree in Environmental Management from Université de Sherbrooke in Québec.
